The Milford Little League 12u District All Star softball team advanced in the Winner's Bracket of the Little League Sectional Tournament with a 3-2 win over Fairfield Sunday morning at Dougiello Park in Fairfield.

Mlford carried a 3-0 lead into the 6th inning but held off a late Fairfield rally for the one-run victory.

In the Milford 1st inning, Madyson Bull lined a one-out single to left and advanced to second base on a wild pitch. On the next pitch, Bull was safe on a steal of third and scored on the catcher's overthrow giving Milford the 1-0 lead.

Avery Falco worked a walk and also advanced to second and third on a wild pitches. Alyssa Joye followed with a walk putting runners on the corners. Charlotte Doyle delivered an RBI single scoring Falco, but Fairfield cut down Joye at the plate ending the inning at 2-0.

Fairfield would threaten in the second inning with a long lead-off double by Tournas and a single by Colangelo. Starter Madyson struck out 2 of the next 3 Fairfield batters to retire the side, holding the lead at 2-0.
