Note from Milford Little League

Dear Milford Little League families,

We hope that this message finds you well and that you are all staying healthy and safe! During these challenging times, Milford Little League would like to thank all of our members who are playing an important role in keeping our community safe during this Coronavirus pandemic, and special thanks to all the essential workers like Doctors and Nurses who are on the frontlines battling this invisible enemy!

In regards to the 2020 season, Milford Little League and Little League International are determined to do all that we can to ensure that players are able to play baseball and softball at some point this year. As of today, Little League International has suspended all activities until at least May 11th and as per CT state mandates, no sport activities may take place with more than 5 participants until May 20th. This has delayed the start of Milford LL's season by at least a month as our opening Day was originally scheduled to take place on April 18th with the season commencing in mid to late June.

Although we are being delayed in starting the season, at this time we are not looking to cancel the season but to just postpone events to a time in the near future where gathering again in groups is more acceptable. We plan to follow all state and city guidelines as to the proper way to reopen play and we look forward to a full and productive season that may not start for a while. But whether the baseball/softball season doesn't begin until June, July or even August, the dedicated volunteers on Milford Little League will be working hard to ensure that our players have a safe and positive experience.

It is the goal of Milford Little League to get the boys and girls some type of positive distraction during these trying times and theres no better way than getting them back on the field playing sports they love. Be sure to follow Milford Little League on Facebook to get some videos on how to improve your child's skills while they are at home.

Stay safe and look forward to better days ahead!
